Opioid Addiction

Opioids are a class of drugs that include heroin and synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, and prescription pain medications, such as oxycodone (OxyContin®), hydrocodone (Vicodin®), codeine, morphine, and many others. Some patients were introduced to opioids through heroin, and were often managing other trauma and emotional disturbances that led them to the drug. Others may have been introduced through a prescription, and something intended to help becomes a problem. Regardless of the type of opioid or how it was introduced, the addiction is powerful and the recovery is extremely difficult for most people.

How we can help…

Opioid addiction can be overwhelming. Our team offers help, hope, and support so that our patients can meet their recovery goals. Our medication-assisted treatment program uses a variety of medications to individually support each patient physically and emotionally.

Medication Assisted Treatment

We do not believe recovery should be painful. Our team of addiction providers use medication to support you physically through the detox and recovery process. Whether you need detoxification services, or to start or taper down a maintenance program, we can help. Some of the medications we use to address opioid addiction include:

TMS

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) has been found to be an effective treatment for opioid addiction. TMS targets the impulse and reward areas of the brain that are negatively impacted by opioid use and can work to regulate and restore those areas to proper function.
